Dork diaries review!

Hello everyone I couldn’t hold my emotions * dramatic music in background * I finally finished a book! Seriously IDK how you people read this fast like riddhi and Nehal are the people I know they may can read 33 books in a month right guys?

How I get to know about this book

Nehal and ridRiddhi dhi * 😅 me thinking what I did here. Their bookish blogs motivated me turn myself into a brilliant reader. I googled what apps should i use and best for reading e-books as my locality hasn’t have any library and the one is way more distanced from my home as my mom used to read e -stories or e-books from her so called app pratilipi where you can read thousands of stories free and can earn points too. I tried it once as I’m not used to it I just don’t want to use it although it’s good like it has many features I’d say it’s a wattpad like app but in hindi. So I downloaded Google Books calm down goodreads lovers I know you …. But I’d say come on It’s because of some technical difficulties I didn’t able to login goodreads

About the author

Rachel Russel is a mother and is wrote this books inspired by her daughters Nikki, yes the protagonist . She’s is a great writer. As far as I feel her daughters insisted her to write this amazing book. And her daughter is the artist who made the illustrations for her how sweet! She named the protagonist after her daughter! She wrote it in the diary format based on her own experiences at the middle school.

Plot

So the story basically revolve around a girl named Nikki maxwell. She got admitted to WCD (West Chester country day) school because her father is schools exterminator and got scholarship. She misses her old school and friends! Mackenzie’s the popular girl in the school with evil aims! Nikki strived through every single problems caused by Mackenzie. She soon made friends Chloe and Zoey. Then the WCD ‘s newsphotographer Robert brandon be friends with her. And with this little yet a world for her she fight through every single teenage problems and won! I’m happy that the the ending was way better than I thought! And this keep you hooked book has some really good and twisted plot twist. Which will keep you more hooked!

Things I loved about this!

• The writing styles of Rachel – she has really understandable and easy to get writing style. I really loved it as I’m not that used to foreign style if English as you know it’s not hard but still it’s not that easy for me 🙃.
• The illustrations! Wow! Her daughter is so talented as you can see in the cover page!
• The ups and downs of a normal teenage girl is not normal as you think there’s alot a teenage experience which is tough to go through sometimes.. And that’s really commendable ! And relatable! 😊
• The twists in between are so “keep you hooked “
• Happy ending plus no “love with friends plot” – I feel this is the thing I hate when people become friends and then lovers in a book that’s disgusting! But the author gets it. When in the book Brandon and Nikki becomes friends ( as he was her crush) I thought they end up being… But no IDK if they will in further series.
